Flora & Leo
Flora and Leo’s wedding was an intimate celebration of love, family, and travel. They came all the way from Australia to the Italian Riviera, choosing the Imperial Palace Hotel in Santa Margherita Ligure as the place to say their vows. The planning team, Roberta Cavaliere & Elisa Rosa brought everything together beautifully so the day felt effortless and true to what Flora and Leo had envisioned
The decoration was colorful and joyful by WhiteEventi, fitting seamlessly into the setting and perfectly reflecting Flora’s name and its meaning. After the ceremony, we stole a quiet moment for a couple session at Villa Durazzo before heading to Portofino for the evening. As the sun softened, the newlyweds and their closest family gathered for an unforgettable dinner at DaV Mare - Belmond Hotel Splendido, dining outdoors by candlelight, wrapped in a Mediterranean breeze. The table was filled with laughter, warm light, and classic Ligurian flavors including trofie al pesto, which Flora and Leo helped prepare themselves, turning dinner into a shared memory rather than just a meal.
It was a bright late-spring Saturday that felt almost like summer, full of thoughtful details. Flora’s name, meaning “flower” tied beautifully into the story of her father, a beekeeper — reflected in Leo’s delicate bee cufflinks. Their rings were just as meaningful: Leo’s band mirrored the exact shape of the diamond in Flora’s engagement ring, a smaller echo of the same form, symbolizing their unity. Small, emotional, and deeply personal, this wedding was less about tradition and more about togetherness, celebrating the people who matter most, showing them the world, and turning their wedding into the beginning of a shared Italian adventure before returning home to Australia.
